After joining, you will be contacted with information about area events where you can build relationships and network with other social workers working in schools. Advocacy

OSSWA is the ONLY state organization representing SCHOOL social workers. Our Legislative Director seeks every opportunity to represent our profession on a local, state and national level through the assistance of universities, NASW-Ohio, Midwest School Social Work Council, and our national School Social Work associations. Your voice is represented on state, regional, and national SSW organizations and other student services advisory groups and councils.

Job Search Assistance and Career Information

OSSWA provides information about School Social Work positions throughout the state. OSSWA also shares updated information regarding laws and policies that affect School Social Work practice in Ohio and across the nation.

Continuing Education Opportunities

Membership gives you access to discounted CEU’s for events we host. OSSWA regional trainings and annual conference provide continuing education to increase your professional knowledge by offering supervision, ethics and specific topics that impact professionals who work in schools. You will also be notified of other upcoming School Social Work conferences.

OSSWA keeps you abreast of what is happening within the organization and around the state and country through our e-newsletter, annual report and website.
